Dale Miller was raised in the NJ shore community of Brick Township. Through his growing years he was actively involved in sports, playing guitar and became an Eagle Scout. Like many young people he had plans! His plan was to follow in his father’s footstep and go into the construction field as an architect. God had other plans! Dale is so glad He did!
Having accepted Christ as a young boy, Dale always had a deep and personal faith with the Lord. So, at age 17 he began to sense a call to ministry and it was this radical journey that has led him to a life of pastoral ministry. Dale has many interests and joys in life, but the greatest is serving Christ and watching others come to grow in Him too!
Dale attended Eastern University receiving a B.A. in Sociology and Communications. He continued his studies at the University of Pennsylvania receiving a M.A. in Sociology. Continuing his studies for ministry he received the M-Div degree from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary and received the D.D. degree from Palmer Theological Seminary.
Dale served his first pastorate for 17 years at the Upland Baptist Church, Upland PA. He later became the Pastor of Adult Ministries at First Baptist Church, Bethlehem. After being a part of the staff for a short 3 years Dale was called to be an Area Minister for American Baptist Churches of PA & DE. In 2008 he was called to return to FBC as Sr. Pastor.
Dale is married to his lovely wife, Debbie, the father of 3 grown children and loves being a grandfather to his 4 grandchildren. Dale continues to love sports, guitar playing and fixing things!
