Our Pastors Josh Carson

Josh Carson

Josh is originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina, where his father served in the U.S. Army as a chaplain. Raised in a Christian home, Josh came to know Christ at a young age and was actively involved in his church’s youth ministry, marching band, and taekwondo throughout middle and high school.

Josh felt God calling him to ministry in the ninth grade (2006) while on a retreat with his youth group in Panama City Beach, Florida. That call was discerned & nurtured throughout high school & Josh felt being led to pursue vocational youth ministry. After graduating from high school in 2009 he was led to Eastern University in St. Davids, PA near Philadelphia, where he received BAs in Youth Ministry and Biblical Studies and graduated in 2013.

During his time at Eastern, Josh was able to study abroad in Israel/Palestine and spent his summers serving in ministry in Gaithersburg, Maryland (2010 & 2011) and at FBC’s Camp Ichthus (2012). Josh began serving at FBC as the Student Ministry Intern in August of 2012 and in the summer of 2013 began his time as the Director of Student Ministries.

Josh is currently a full-time student at Palmer Theological Seminary in King of Prussia, PA as a Sider Scholar, pursuing a Masters of Divinity degree. He is a contributor to PRISM Magazine a publication of the Evangelicals for Social Action.

Josh enjoys the rare time he gets to spend with his family in North Carolina, where his parents are preparing to enter the mission field and his sisters are entering their last year of high school and first year of college, respectively.
