What We Believe Two Ordinances

Two Ordinances

Two Ordinances:  We believe that Jesus Christ left His Disciples and the Church two specific commands before His ascension to heaven.  Those commands or ordinances are that the Church should instruct and disciple those who would follow Christ and Baptize them as a sign of the new birth of relationship in Him.  Secondly, we believe that the Church should regularly gather at the Lord’s Table to celebrate Communion as a remembrance of His sacrifice and atoning grace.  Thus our two ordinances are: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.  We have other traditions of worship and discipleship which are meaningful, but these two are upheld as the primary acts of worship and obedience lived out within the life of the Church.
